Barbara Ellis, 73, is doing a "Century" dressage ride this weekend. To be eligible, the ages of the horse and the rider must total 100. Here are a few images of her training for the event.

Day 3 - Teaching Maci to use the doggie-door so she can come in and out on her own. But pretty hard not to let her in through the slider when you see this looking at you.
Creepy Crawly Carnival (freelance assignment)
The Ron Rosner family Y put on a creepy crawly halloween carnival. The fun included a haunted house, hay rides, carnival games and music. Kids of all ages had a great time.
Meet Maci
This weekend we brought home a new puppy. Her name is Maci, half sister to Max. It has been less than 24 hours but she seems to like her new home and having a good time with Max and Blitzen. She has a sweet personality and everyone is very excited. Here a few images - but I have to go now and see what they are in to :)

Cardinal football tryouts (freelance assignment)
On Saturday at Old Mill Park, I covered tryouts for the Cardinals, a semi-pro football team from Fredericksburg.
This is an indoor football team that plays other area Virginia teams. They are considered "semi-pro" because these teams have corporate sponsors and players get paid a modest sum for their participation.

Those who live in town have probably seen the great window displays of Bella Hair Salon. They frequently change it up and are always very creative. This weekend I was walking during the evening and captured their latest and wanted to share.
Troopers play softball for Autism (freelance assignment)
The 9th Annual East Coast Regional Women's State Police Charity Softball Tournament was held at Patriot Park in Spotsylvania on Sunday. More than 250 female troopers from nine states battled it out on the softball fields to help raise money and awareness for autistic children and their families.
Special guests included Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and Virginia Secretary of Public Saftey Maria Graff Decker.

Hola folks,
Just wanted to post a few images from a recent shoot with the Burns family. We had lots of fun hanging out last weekend and got some very nice images along the way.
DC Photo/Bike Ride
This past Sunday I spent a few hours with some friends on a nice bike ride in DC. Our goal was to see some of the sights, take a few pictures and get a little exercise along the way. I had a real good time despite the heat. We ended our day eating dinner at a Mongolian BBQ in Chinatown.
Thanks to Brian, Ryan, Omar, Galen, Dave and Erik for hanging out. Hope to do it again soon.
